Volume 37 of Signature Luxury Travel & Style, Australia’s leading luxury travel magazine, is out now after a six-month printing hiatus.

While we’re temporarily grounded, we are fortunate to call one of the world’s most coveted countries home. We’re delighted to see a renaissance in intrastate and interstate travel, demonstrating the passion and resilience of Australians eager to explore and support the tourism industry that has been so heavily impacted this year by drought, bushfires and, of course, COVID-19.

Our incredible planet – with all of its extraordinary experiences – is out there waiting, and our ethos at Signature Luxury Travel & Style has always been to inspire our readers to witness its many wonders. So in this issue, we’ve filled the pages with just that: inspiration from around the globe for when it is safe to travel again.

“Be sure to take a look at Dale R Morris’ stunning photo essay and wildlife photography tips on page 100,” says Cathy Wagstaff, CEO and Group Editor, and Editor-in-Chief of Signature Luxury Travel & Style. “And don’t miss my personal pick, Brook Turner’s feature on the Aleutian Islands, a remote destination between Russia and Alaska, which he discovers on board a Ponant expedition ship.”

Also in the issue, Andrew Conway finds cruising is also a resilient industry, and there are signs that calmer waters lie ahead, buoyed by unwavering consumer loyalty with 2022/23 bookings breaking records. Read more on page 154.

We also speak to industry friends and experts about what they love and miss most about luxury travel. From the ritualistic gin and tonic at take off to learning more about yourself when away from the comforts of home (page 26).

“We’re asking you to support the travel industry, one that accounts for one in 10 jobs globally. Incredible accommodation offers, tours and future cruise sailings are available now and well worth booking in advance. Once the floodgates open these will not be so generous.

“We pass the baton to you, to book, travel and support domestic tourism and, once borders open and travel bubbles and corridors emerge, get back on a plane and enjoy the wonderful world that awaits,” says Cathy.

The print edition has been distributed to open and operating domestic Qantas lounges, private charter jet companies, five-star hotels and resorts, luxury car showrooms and service centres, select travel agents, beauty salons, newsagents Australia-wide and, of course, delivered to our loyal subscribers.
